Challenge
Two companies were in stages of significant growth when they announced their combination. While the companies were similar in their operating models, they required significant integration efforts to optimize the enterprise. Synergetics was selected to support these integration efforts with a specific focus on procurement/purchasing processes and supplier cost takeout.
Solution
Following an initial spend cube analysis and identification of key suppliers and supplier categories to target for cost takeout, Synergetics continued to work with Procurement leadership to support various integration efforts. Highlights of support provided included:
Tracking of supplier cost takeout against a mandated threshold
Reporting on progress of key integration workstreams as a part of the larger Integration Management Office
Project management for larger Workday implementation project – with a focus on procurement functionalities
Development of eLearning training materials, FAQ documents, and key communications for various change management initiatives
Identification of key KPIs for the combined Procurement, Mail Services, and Vendor Management organization
